This pairing promises high-rolling athletes of excellent breed type. While this litter is particularly well-suited to field, performance, and hunting homes, we expect these puppies to perform equally well as adaptable family companions. Black and liver puppies expected around the end of the year.

Pilot has OFA 'Good' hips, 'Normal' elbows, patellas, and eyes.
Minnow has OFA 'Excellent' hips, 'Normal' elbows, patellas, and eyes.

I was lucky enough to import Pilot after falling in love with his Mum, Penny, on a visit to Birgitta Backström's Kennel Quills near Stockholm, Sweden. Though still young, Pilot has exceeded our expectations both in the field and the show ring. Our cheapest champion to date, Pilot finished his show championship in 2 weekends at 16 months old with 19 points and 4 majors. He is a beautifully built, sound moving, athletic dog of excellent breed type. In the field, he is an enthusiastic and courageous retriever with exceptional drive and stamina. He takes pressure well, is an eager drill dog, and has proven himself a useful hunting companion on both upland and waterfowl, pursuing crippled Red Heads on his very first hunt. At home Pilot is a lovable chap with a wicked sense of humor. He gets on with everyone and relishes all of life's adventure. Pilot's pedigree brings a diverse mix of gundog talent from throughout Europe and we're excited by all he promises to offer this, his first, litter.

Minnow's competition track record speaks volumes of her uniquely awesome talents - all-breed derby JAM, Qualified All Age, Hall of Fame eligible, Champion Master Hunter, the 2015 Steady Singles champion, and the 2016 FCRSA Qualifying winner. A true team player, Minnow possesses a magical balance of drive and trainability, always giving her utmost effort to the task before her. While a remarkable marking dog, she also demonstrates superb line-running talents and happily handles on blinds. While Minnow's first love is for the field, she has also proven a successful show dog, earning her bench Championship with ease and placing in both field trial Specialty classes she attended. She is compact with good bone, moderate angulation, an especially strong prow and rib, and a beautiful head. At home, Minnow is a joy to live with and an adaptable co-pilot. Minnow's first litter has proven outstanding, and includes a Hall of Fame Master Agility Champion, a Grand Champion, and multiple Champions with advanced performance titles. Her pedigree combines several interesting European trial dogs and the famous Windfall bitch line.
